Fringed & Fabulous

Fringed boots are hot property this season and these eye-catching fuchsia Louboutins are up there in the most wanted list.
Get them before they go!

Comfort zone

There's no better way to keep warm than to wrap up with cosy sweaters and cardigans. This season is all about chunky knits, the bigger the better. Hollywood starlets have been papped in Stella McCartney’s bigger-than-life shaggy cardigan, we want one too!

Cover story

Winter coats come in all shapes and colours this season – tailored, military, oversized, tulip-shaped, puff-sleeved, bracelet-sleeved. Whether you’re after an investment piece in classic black or navy, Siberian influence with embroidery and fur collars or a colour explosion to brighten your winter blues, there's something to tickle every taste bud.

Tough chic

Our fashion team fell in love with the tough-looking patent lace-up boots at the Fendi
Show – until we saw these Dr Martens at Brownsfashion.com. Yes, really, the epitomic British anarchy boots brand. At a very reasonable £75 they are bound to fly off the shelves in a nano second so better get your mouse-clicking finger ready!

Comme des Garçons for H&M

We have fought over high street creations of Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Victor & Rolf and Karl Lagerfeld and now it’s over to Japanese avant-garde designer Rei Kawakubo of  Comme des Garçons to provide yet another designer collection for H&M worth making the trip to your local store on this week.

Go Green

You might not be into tree hugging but it’s good to have a social conscience, to know how your clothes are made. We have three favourites when it comes to trend factor  – Noir, Nahui Ollin and Beyond Skin. Peter Ingwersen’s Noir is a luxury range of sharp tailoring with ethical methods – without any happy-hippie fabrics.

Wonder Woman Diane

Once upon a time there were three women called Diva, Viva and Fifa, who wore dresses with a Dvf logo starring in "inspiring tales about women and the life-empowering choices they face." Comic book Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be: The Adventures of Diva, Viva, and Fifa is Diane von Furstenberg’s latest creation to raise funds for one of her favourite charities Vital Voices, a non-governmental organisation to support women in developing countries.

Go Goji

Goji Boutique is a bold and sleek attempt at online fashion retail in the Middle East. Dia Diwan interviewed its pioneering owners.

How difficult is it to set up an online shopping website in the Middle East?
As with any new project there are many obstacles and challenges to overcome. As most of the regions infrastructure is not geared for online business, it was quite difficult integrating our back office system with our online system.

Nature d'hiver

Poetic camouflage springs to mind when looking at Jean-Paul Gaultier and Nina Ricci catwalk collections. Winter florals, leaf prints, feather trims, earthy tones of mud, terracotta, ochre and shades of fallen leaves from forest green, olive to yellow and burned red – it’s all about taking a trip to into the wilderness with Mother Nature.

Platform frenzy

We have a new shoe crush - Katie Lombardo. Her platforms are a friction of the price of Louboutins and McQueens. Look at these gorgeous purple python peep-toe platforms - the perfect solution for the credit crunch.
“Katia Lombardo collections are always so wearable and have that wow factor, all at very accessible prices. In particular, the purple python peep-toes and the red lace-up platforms have been so on-trend this season,” says Luisa de Paula, Buying & Merchandising Director of My-wardrobe.com.

Enough said, we are hotfooting to My-wardrobe.com!
