A Mystical Music Fest

Petra, one of the 7 wonders of the world, is finally getting its music festival.

The event which is to be held under the patronage of Queen Rania, brings together choral musicians from the five Levant countries: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine with participants from other Arab countries expected. It will be the first encounter between Arab choirs and western musicians, with an expected participation of over 200 choral singers and conductors, and an audience of 500 classical music lovers form Amman.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the preservation of Petra.
The Aswatuna Arab Choral Festival is directed by Professor Andre de Quadros (Boston University) and Jordan's talent Shereen Abu Khader (Dozan wa Awtar) in association with Concerts Sweden and the international federation for Choral Music (IFCM).
