Rock rules

Believe it or not, leather and PVC pants are back as witnessed on Givenchy’s catwalk. Team with black masculine blazer, gold multi-chain necklaces and bags or attitude - very 1980s Patti Smith doing goth. Don't forget the heavily kohled eyes and bare lips - this look rocks!

Work the pants

Move over wide-leggers, pegs are here!  There are  few rules to follow – make sure they crop above the anklebone, balance the voluminous trouser width with a fitted top and always wear with heels. They are a bit 80s but we like it!
Take a note from Yves Saint Laurent catwalk and wear with a black poloneck, black shoe boots and black lipstick.

Office mode

Don’t feel blue in the office, wear it instead. Navy is the new black of the office attire and we are loving the dot wool skirt suit by McQ and wool flannel trouser suit by Stella McCartney – practical yet oh so elegant. Color combo solution? - navy and black or navy and purple.
Need a new laptop case/work bag? Look no further than Violet May. She’s come up with a new range of metallic leather cases and a genius Blackberry case.

Berry tones

Blackberry, Mulberry, raspberry – we go berry mad with any hint of purple!
Wear the rich colors head-to-toe, mixing tones along the way.

Chic cover-ups

It’s the beginning of Ramandan and time to get prepared for those long days. Tunic dresses are perfect for layering over pants or leggings and you can practically live 24/7 in these ottomans by Yasemin Tarzi Cuven.
Here are our favorite cover-ups that will keep you effortlessly chic and comfortable at home and during visits.

10 key fall buys

Get on your marks, go!  The race is on to bag those pieces that will sell out in an instant. Here’s our top ten including Mongolian lamb trim coat - spot on the folklore trend- skinny leather pants, black lace cocktail dress, the sharply tailored Little Blue Dress (this season we like it navy), peep-toe ankle boots and over-the-knee boots now known as OTK’s.

Summer Mummy

Being pregnant doesn’t mean you have to succumb to the world of shapeless tent dresses and bigger-than-life pants. This season designers like T-Bags and Diane von Furstenberg have done ‘expandable’ styles with elasticated empire waists in the favourite fabric of all mothers-to-be – jersey! Juicy tracksuit shouldn’t be your daily uniform when there are so many lovely summer tops and dresses around. Look at the A-list mums who did it so well: Angelica Jolie, Jessica Alba and Catherine Zeta-Jones all showed how to do glamorous with a bump.

Wardrobe Diet

You have just realized that time has flown by and you never made it to the gym. No worries, you can put your wardrobe on a diet instead and look half a stone lighter with clever dressing. It’s all about nipping, tucking, waist-cinching and camouflaging. Hooray!

Rule 1: Hide those ‘maternity’ smock tops and dresses – they are for the pregnant only
Rule 2: Waist-cinching belt is your best friend - team with dresses, tops and jackets to give a silhouette
Rule 3: High heels! The only way to look slimmer and taller

Hello Sailor!

Fresh navy and white stripes, wide-legged palazzo pants, ballerina flats and anchor motives a la 1950s French Riviera – get the picture?

It’s all about going nautical with a playful twist. Bare in mind that horizontal stripes do create a wider illusion so the ample busted and waisted should stay well clear.

Out Of Africa

We are taking a trip to Kenya in easy-to-wear safari jackets, belted shirtdresses, crisp white shirts and cargo pants – a la Meryl Streep in Out Of Africa. This time around it’s less constructed shoulders and softer lines in animal print chiffons. Accessorize with vintage-look leather and straw, then finish the look with a pair of aviators. We love the unusual grading tortoise shell aviators by Celestina.
It goes without saying that this look requires sun-kissed limbs so not a look for the ice queens. St Tropez spray tan and Fake Bake, here we come!
