Are you on the job hunt? If so, we have some good news for you. A new job recruitment portal, Twffaha, is launching on October 15 and it’s geared specifically towards Middle Eastern women. Interestingly enough, the website was co-founded by two men, Ashraf Mansour and and Ammar Mustafa, who are Sudanese and Syrian respectively. Starting out with an English version, the site will soon branch out into Arabic as well.
Speaking to CEO and co-founder, Mansour, about his vision for Twffaha, he told us "We felt that the online recruitment market is saturated with a variety of job sites that serve the same purpose. Studies show that the rate of working women in the Middle East region is well below the international rate so we decided to tackle this problem and focused on women, in order to promote recruiting women in the region." And we're all for it - more power to the women.
Twffaha (Apple in Arabic) is a symbol for women, and the intentionally unique spelling of the word provides a distinct brand image for the fledgling website.
We got a sneak peak of Twffaha before the site was unveiled and we have to say we're impressed. The simple interface serves the purpose well, and their dedicated attention to privacy is another reason we know we're going to be big fans of Twffaha from the get-go. We all know how important privacy is when it comes to looking for a new job.
Employers can post up to three vacancies absolutely free and, not only will they appear on Twffaha's website, they will also be included in one of the largest job search engines, Simply Hired, and will be featured on the business oriented social network, LinkedIn.
Countries that will be covered by Twffaha's service are United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq and Yemen.
