32º North is another sleek bar in one of Amman's luxe hotels. We got a fibre-optic chandelier, beaded curtains and  the largest seafood bar in the country. Well, well, well...

The largest shopping mall in Sweifyah with over 2500m of shopping delight - a recent addition is Lebanese department store ABC.

Amman's artsy café, with its award winning website, makes it the place to check out.  These guys have a vision that goes way beyond a spimple latte: think cross cultural blend of ideas, foods, arts, philosophy...Yep!

 

A casual hangout where you can eat, drink, buy books and surf the Internet. The large terrace offers a great view over the old parts of Amman. Friday breakfast is a MUST. 

Another chilled place for relaxing, with a garden. Depending on who you ask, the food  at this artsy café/restaurant is really good or really bad. Worth checking out.

Centro brought the concept of a brasserie to Amman. Nice menu, all day breakfast and a relaxed atmosphere.

Is it us, or almost every big event in Amman is either at the Four Seasons or the Hyatt? Until someone fills the gap in the market, the 4 Seasons is good place to stay. Like in Cairo or Damascus, the 4 Seasons delivers impeccable luxury (but lacks a bit of local charm).

Aside from the fact that every foreign journalist on his way to Baghdad makes a stop here, the Grand Hyatt, as the Four Seasons,  is part of the Amman fixture. Until Jordan comes up with some boutique hotels, this is a good place to stay at!

A cozy, rather chic place, with the occasional jazz concert. Italian menu, though you can also order sushi...

If you can't find room at the Four Seasons or the Grand Hyatt, then why not the Kempinski. The outside architecture could have been nicer, but inside, it's all 5 star luxury. It's also well located.

If you're heading to the Dead Sea, why not try the new Kempinski, which has gone slightly overboard, with multiple pools, a record number of spa rooms and a zillion activities. They're trying hard to be the place to stary at the Dead Sea, and they just might well succeed.

La Maison Verte is one of Amman's only French restaurant. That doesn't mean they're obnoxious or rude. Good food, nice venue and not too expensive.

Located above Romero Restaurant, The Living Room is a fresh new approach of dining and relaxing out in Amman. Open from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, its where you can have lunch at any time up to dinner

Our innovative kitchen serves a wide variety of favorites ranging from Sushi, Halloumi cheese in Ka’ek to Juicy Steaks & Ribs.

Just off the Lobby Galleria, The Square Bar offers light snacks and cocktails in an intimate club atmosphere. Capacity is 30 indoors, 12 outdoors.

With the largest nature shop in the region, the Wild Jordan Café  is all bout offering a socially and ecologically conscious cafe/store. The menu, based on low fat, low carbohydrate recipes are filled with all the organic products natures has to offer. This place is so healthy, you might just want to grab a big Mac (just kidding...). Great view in the summer onto the city.
