Khatt Design

The Khatt Foundation, Center for Arabic Typography is a non-profit organization that encourages new design developments and improves (typo)graphic communication in the Arab World. Self-adhesive vinyl wall stickers have revolutionized contemporary European interior design and the Khatt Foundation in partnership with Mosaiques have recently challenged the best visual artists from the Arab world to reinvent wall designs. The first of its kind, the designs are distinct voices that explore the personal versus the historical heritage and national context of each designer.

Cest Moi

C'est Moi is the brainchild of Muskan Taurani of M & R Designs. Her collection takes you from house to haunt and uses silks, crepes, satin & georgette. M&R established 2007 in response to a demand for superior quality embroidery and stitching. Muskan Tauran, a veteran in the fashion world was born and raised in Dubai. Her forte lies in knowing the style needs of the Middle East. Through her work and innate understanding of Couture and Luxury, C'est Moi promises an exceptional level of quality.

Madame Rêve

Madame Rêve is your invitation to a timeless journey offering a woman spiritual richness & snippets of history in her quest for individuality. Every piece is handmade using unique, vintage elements that tell stories of secrets past which are rescued from forgotten attics of bygone times. These vintage mementos form the centerpiece of each design set in the contemporary styles of the Madame Rêve collection. Deco charms from golden eras are coupled with pearls and ribbons in a unique marriage of yesteryear and today.

Domakaya

3 sisters originally from Lebanon, based in London, started this stunning concept and have created a loyal following among London’s Middle Eastern 'It' Girls. Inherited from their mother and their grandmother before her, Domakaya’s talents are inherent in their designs and their craft. Masters in cashmere and luxury wools, crochet and intricate needlework, their philosophy is to create luxurious and funky designs using Fair Trade products hailing from as far as Uruguay.

Atelier SZ

Atelier S/Z is the brainchild of Sibylle and Ziad. Their aim: to achieve a visual aesthetic in their products. Between them they have degrees and diplomas galore in studies from fine arts to communication to sculpture. Together, they create products through the transformation of existing elements and produce funky, quirky, up to the minute designs that are practical & fun. Their most famous piece is perhaps the water pipe or 'narguile'. Ultra modern and cool, they work perfectly as a centre piece or as a sunset soother.

Jake and Gigi

Michelle is a jewellery designer originally from Canada but grew up in Dubai since 1975. Big influences in her work are pop culture, old Hollywood icons and anything out of the norm. Jake and Gigi pieces can be found in stores all over Dubai and abroad but Dia Diwan is the only store you can buy Jake and Gigi online. They are about celebrating those individuals who defy conventions and set their own sense of style. Reality is only a starting point before imagination takes over! Quirky,fun & always one of a kind.

Ora by Rimalya

Inspired by a blend of the traditional and modern, Rimalya recently introduced her ORA by Rimalya line. Using sexy, bright prints and high-quality silks and by incorporating features that accent the feminine form; the curve of a shoulder or the turn of an ankle, ORA by Rimalya creates allure and mystique with evocative patterns. As a young girl, Rimalya’s intuitive eye for seeing what looked best, led her to become the family’s fashion consultant and so determined to turn her passion into a career, Rimalya soon created a line of luxury sportswear using bold colors and patterns.

Nouf Beydoun

The tension and the intrinsic beauty of her paintings hold the viewers attention and evoke intense emotions. She takes the feelings of her brush stroke from Arabic folklore and poetry; Gibran Khalil Gibran & Nizar Kabbani are her companions in inspiration. From the beginning Nouf has gained recognition by having her work displayed in many international galleries. Her artistic expression surges through this versatile medium.

Elie Outayek for Miss E

At the helm of Lebanon's oldest town, Byblos is Edde Yard and at its hub is Miss E; a charming boutique steeped in history. Built in local stone, walk inside and you find the buzz and eclectic selection of its sparkling and international buyer. Famous for a collection handmade by local Byblos designers, Miss E introduces a selection of Elie Outayek's classic designs. His handbags, that range from clutches to hold all's are handmade in the finest leathers and real skins including ostrich, crocodile and lizard and even cobra! His styles are classic and beautiful and fun and modern.

Fatma Lootah

Under a rainbow of colour here is Fatma Lootah, artist and designer. She left her homeland in 1979 to "explore other things" and studied Fine Art in Baghdad Art Academy and then Washington. It was there that she developed her passions for design and art. "I love exploring colour at the stroke of the brush"; she paints quickly, following her emotions, on impulse. She does not fear colour and portrays her sensibilities within her canvas. Fatma Lootah lives in Italy and continues her painting and jewellery designs in a country of inspirations.
